Indian troops arrest four youth in Budgam

Srinagar, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indian troops arrested four youth in Budgam district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The troops arrested the youth during cordon and search operation in the Beerwah area of the district. Meanwhile, Indian police attached Shopian Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Jeelani Butt to Range Police Headquarter (RPHQ) Islamabad, pending an inquiry on regard of attack on non-Kashmiri person in Shopian.

“In view of the incident occurred on 13-7-2023 at Gagren Shopian, Inspector GH Jeelani Butt (AWP) is attached to RPHQ Islamabad pending inquiry,” read an order issued by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police south Kashmir range, Rayees Mohammad Butt. “This order shall have immediate effect,” the order added. On July 13 evening, three non-Kashmiri labourers hailing from Bihar, India were shot at and injured in an attack in Shopian district.
