Industries, Excise Ministers Visit Bahawalpur

Lahore, June 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Energy SM Tanveer and Minister for C and W and Excise Bilal Afzal presided over a meeting at the commissioner’s office in Bahawalpur. During the meeting, Commissioner Dr Ihtesham Anwar provided an overview of the ongoing development projects, beautification efforts, and public welfare initiatives in the division.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Minister SM Tanveer highlighted the importance of conducting visits to assess district performance and evaluate the facilities available to the general public, in line with the directives of the chief minister Punjab. He stressed the need to ensure that development projects are completed on time, adhering to high standards, and employing all possible means to provide relief to the public.

Provincial Minister Bilal Afzal expressed that the government is undertaking comprehensive measures to enhance the economy. To ensure the success of the ‘More Cotton Cultivation Campaign,’ necessary facilities will be provided to farmers. He further emphasized that concrete steps are being taken to ensure that the benefits of progress reach the public. The ministers commended the performance of the administration.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zahir Anwar Jappa, Secretary (South Punjab) of the Transport Department, Director of Excise and Taxation in Bahawalpur, as well as officers from the divisional and district administrations.
