Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says fake news is the biggest threat to democracy and journalism.

In a post on his X handle, he said fake news tactics are on the rise as we get closer to elections.

The Minister said today, a fake directive was created and circulated in the name of Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and now the Chief Election Commissioner is being targeted.
