Information Minister Optimistic About Outcome of Talks with Jamaat-e-Islami Protesters

Rawalpindi: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has engaged in discussions with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) protesters, expressing hope for fruitful results from ongoing negotiations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the talks took place at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, where JI has been staging a sit-in. The discussions were conducted in a friendly atmosphere, leading to the appointment of a negotiation committee by JI’s Amir, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, headed by Liaquat Baloch. Both parties have committed to continued dialogue to address the demands raised by JI. Minister Tarar voiced optimism about reaching productive conclusions through these talks.
