Interior Minister Naqvi Calls for PTI to Reassess Protest Plans Amid International Visits

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to reconsider its planned protests, citing the potential impact on Pakistan’s international obligations. The call comes as Islamabad prepares to host several high-profile international guests, including leaders and dignitaries from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and China, as well as the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Conference.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of maintaining national security and international relations during these significant diplomatic engagements. He stated that the government is committed to providing full security and protocol to its guests and that no disruptions would be tolerated. The Minister also highlighted the mobilization of additional paramilitary forces, including Rangers, the Frontier Corps, and the Army, to ensure peace and order during this period.

Naqvi appealed to the PTI and its supporters to consider the broader implications of their actions and to avoid any activities that might tarnish Pakistan’s reputation on the global stage.
