Islamabad, Amid rising concerns over a potential dengue outbreak following the rainy season, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives to intensify preventive measures across the Federal Capital.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi contacted Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority and Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, emphasizing the need for rapid drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas to mitigate dengue risks. He instructed that the anti-dengue plan of action be implemented thoroughly and that all Standard Operating Procedures related to dengue prevention be strictly adhered to.
The minister’s proactive approach reflects a broader effort to safeguard public health as the monsoon season begins, potentially increasing the mosquito population and the spread of dengue fever.
