Iranian President Arrives in Islamabad for Three-Day Visit to Pakistan

Islamabad, Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi is set to arrive in Islamabad today for a three-day visit to Pakistan. The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch confirmed that the Iranian President will be accompanied by his spouse, a high-level delegation, including the Foreign Minister and other members of the cabinet, senior officials, and a large business delegation. The visit underscores the significance of Pakistan-Iran relations and their mutual interest in enhancing cooperation across various sectors.

During his stay, President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi will meet with several high-profile Pakistani leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Additionally, the Iranian President will visit Lahore and Karachi to engage with the provincial leadership.

The discussions during the visit will cover a wide-ranging agenda aimed at strengthening ties and promoting cooperation in trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, and people-to-people contacts.
