Iraq Pakistan agreed to further enhance cooperation

Islamabad, May 29, 2023 (PPI-OT): Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development who is on the official visit to Iraq held a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Mr. Ahmad Jassim Al-Asadi, Minister for Labour, Iraq at Baghdad today and discussed matters of bilateral and mutual interests.

Mr. Zulfiqar Haider, Secretary OP and HRD and Mr. Ahmad Amjad Ali, Pakistani Ambassador to Iraq were also present during the meeting. Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation particularly to facilitate Zaireen from Pakistan and also explore possibilities of cooperation in Labour export from Pakistan. The Federal Minister invited his Iraqi counterpart to visit Pakistan to sign a MoU in the field of transmission of Manpower between Pakistan and Iraq which is pending and under process at the Iraq’s side
