IsDB Hosts Major Workshop on Procurement and Financial Management in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, has successfully concluded a comprehensive four-day workshop focusing on enhancing the country’s procurement, integrity, and financial management systems. Held from May 27 to May 30, 2024, the workshop aimed to bolster transparency and efficiency in managing public resources across various government sectors.

According to Press Information Department, the workshop featured a series of intensive training sessions, interactive discussions, and practical exercises led by experts from the IsDB. Participants included a diverse group of stakeholders from government ministries, provincial departments, and executing agencies, all engaged in detailed learning about implementing international best practices in financial management and procurement processes.

The event stressed the importance of collaboration among Pakistani officials and international experts to ensure effective governance and sustainable development. The sessions highlighted the critical role of adopting robust financial strategies and integrity measures to manage public funds responsibly and transparently.
