Islamabad Chamber of Commerce Visits National Emergency Operations Centre

Islamabad, The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) visited the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) headquarters to observe its emergency response capabilities. This visit highlighted the state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced operational systems of the NEOC, essential for managing national emergencies effectively.

According to Press Information Department, the delegation, led by ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawri, was briefed by Chairman NDMA, Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik HI(M), on the comprehensive facilities and technological advancements in place at the NEOC. The visit provided an in-depth look at how the centre coordinates emergency management across various levels, showcasing the skill and readiness of the personnel involved.

Bakhtawri praised the NEOC’s commitment to ensuring public safety and its systematic approach to disaster management, underscoring the importance of such facilities in national resilience and response strategies. The meeting ended with a mutual interest in furthering collaboration and enhancing the country’s capacity for emergency preparedness and response.
