Kabul Marks Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with Flag-Hoisting Ceremony

Kabul: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul commemorated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani.

According to Press Information Department, the event was attended by embassy staff and distinguished guests. It featured the readings of messages from Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar. Ambassador Nizamani paid homage to Pakistan’s national heroes, particularly the martyrs of the armed forces, highlighting their sacrifices for the nation’s sovereignty and ideals.

During his speech, Ambassador Nizamani reflected on the historical significance of the independence movement and the leadership of Quaid e Azam. He stressed the importance of continuing their legacy through dedication to Pakistan’s future prosperity and reaffirmed the commitment to uphold the ideals that have shaped the nation. The ceremony served not only as a celebration of independence but also as a call to action for Pakistanis to maintain the honor and dignity of their national flag, both at home and abroad.
