Kamal Vows to Transform DRAP into World-Class Regulator

Islamabad: Minister for Health Services Mustafa Kamal has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) into a world-class regulatory authority, equipped to meet modern challenges and aligned with international benchmarks.

According to Radio Pakistan, Kamal, while chairing a meeting of the DRAP in Islamabad, directed the Authority’s officials to expedite efforts for upgrading the country’s drug testing systems. He emphasized the importance of securing international accreditation and achieving the World Health Organization’s Maturity Level 3.

The Minister for Health Services highlighted that international accreditation would ensure the safety, quality, and efficacy of medicines, thereby safeguarding public health.
