Peshawar, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur visited the State Children’s Center “Zamong Kor” in Peshawar to review the accommodation, food, and education and training facilities provided to the children. During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected various sections of Zamong Kor and interacted with the students. Adviser to Chief Minister for Social Welfare Mashal Yousafzai, Secretary Social Welfare Syed Nazar Hussain Shah, and other relevant officials were also present.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly established vocational training center at Zamong Kor, which will provide technical training to children in various fields. He also inspected stalls displaying paintings and other products made by the children. Addressing the students and their teachers, the Chief Minister announced the regularization of all contract employees at Zamong Kor Center. He further declared that the provincial government would bear the higher education expenses of children studying at Zamong Kor on a merit basis, ensuring that those who gain admission to higher education institutions would have their educational costs covered.
The Chief Minister assured that all required funds for Zamong Kor would be released at the beginning of the year to prevent any financial difficulties. Emphasizing the welfare of the children living in Zamong Kor as a top priority, he stated that the provincial government is committed to providing quality education and training comparable to top-class schools in the country. The Chief Minister urged teachers and staff to treat the children as their own, underscoring the government’s support in making these children successful.
