Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Celebrate Pakistan’s Election to UNSC

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar extended their congratulations to the nation following Pakistan’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2025-26 term. Garnering an impressive 182 votes, this election underscores Pakistan’s respected standing on the international stage and its commitment to global peace and security.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed on X (formerly Twitter) that this victory at a critical time reflects the international community’s trust in Pakistan’s diplomatic prowess and dedication to peace.
