Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forms Committees for Fair Scholarship Distribution

Peshawar, In an effort to ensure the transparent and fair allocation of scholarship funds, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Labor Minister Fazl Shakur Khan has instructed the Workers Welfare Board to expedite the distribution process for the children of workers and board employees enrolled in various provincial universities. The Minister has mandated that these funds be disbursed within one week.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three zonal committees will be established to oversee and ensure the integrity of the scholarship distribution process. This decision was shared during a meeting attended by the Secretary of Labor, Secretary of the Workers Welfare Board (WWB), and directors from Land, Education, and Works departments among other officials.

During the meeting, it was detailed that the verification of all beneficiary data is currently underway to facilitate a just and open distribution of funds. Officials reassured that this process is nearing completion and that the disbursement of scholarships will commence immediately thereafter, aiming for completion before the end of June.

The establishment of these zonal committees is part of a broader initiative to enhance operational transparency and respond effectively to any grievances, thereby preventing any potential complaints regarding the distribution process.
