Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prioritizes Completion of Varsik Canal System Remodeling

Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Irrigation Minister Aqibullah Khan has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to the timely completion of the Varsik Canal System remodeling project, emphasizing its significance for regional irrigation and water management. The Minister met with key members of the project’s construction firm, including international and local leaders, to discuss progress and ensure ongoing support for the initiative.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during discussions with Project Manager Ren, Deputy Team Leader Wang, and local project directors Ruhul Amin and Muhammad Amir, Minister Khan stressed the importance of the project for improving irrigation and drainage systems across the province.

He has engaged with various financial authorities within the government, including the Finance Advisor and the Finance Secretary, to secure a steady flow of funds to avoid any disruptions. The project, notable for its ambitious five-kilometer-long tunnel, aims to channel 700 Kiosk of water, allocating 300 Kiosk for drinking purposes and 400 Kiosk for irrigation.
