Michael Owen Discusses Initiatives to Launch World Football League in Pakistan with Sindh Governor

Karachi, Renowned footballer Michael Owen, along with fellow players Henry Chimbonda Pascal and Navarro Raul Rodriguez, met with Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori at the Governor House in Karachi to discuss the potential launch of a World Football League in Pakistan and other initiatives aimed at promoting the sport in the country.

According to Sindh Governor House, the meeting included discussions on establishing a football league in Pakistan, enhancing sports promotion, and developing world-class athletes. Governor Tesori expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, noting that hosting a football league in Pakistan would enhance the country’s global image and increase local interest in the sport.

Owen highlighted the presence of talented football players in Pakistan and suggested that proper training could elevate their skills to international standards. He also emphasized the significant role of the Sindh Governor’s support in fostering the development of football in Pakistan.

During the visit, Governor Tesori presented Owen, Chimbonda, and Rodriguez with provincial cultural Sindhi badges, caps, and shields as symbols of appreciation and cultural exchange. The meeting marks a significant step towards bringing international football more prominently into Pakistan’s sports landscape.
