Islamabad, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has called on Hajj welfare staff to serve pilgrims with dedication, describing it as a sacred duty. His remarks were made during orientation sessions for the Hajj mission’s supporting staff in Makkah, aimed at enhancing the services provided to pilgrims.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Hussain emphasized the importance of effective communication and suggested that guides fluent in various Pakistani languages be deployed to assist the diverse group of pilgrims visiting the Haram Sharif for Umrah or prayers. He highlighted that this initiative would improve the pilgrims’ experience, helping them navigate the area more comfortably.
The minister also stressed the need for compassion and empathy in the services provided, urging the staff to ensure that pilgrims receive the best possible facilities and support during their stay. He noted the implementation of well-marked men-supported bus pick-up points to ease transportation challenges for pilgrims traveling to and from their residences.
Additionally, Hussain encouraged guides to be proactive in assisting pilgrims, ensuring they are readily available to help those who may feel distracted or lost. The orientation sessions have already prepared over four hundred members of the Hajj welfare staff across transport, accommodation, and food departments for their roles during the upcoming Hajj days.
