Islamabad, May 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has warned anti-state elements and terrorists to refrain from implementing their nefarious designs to destabilize the country. Addressing the nation on Wednesday, he said those who would take law into their hands through carrying out miscreant activities will be dealt according to law and the constitution.
The Prime minister said safeguarding the constitution and the country is our prime responsibility and we would foil the evil designs of terrorists with the help and cooperation of the nation. He lauded armed forces of Pakistan, Police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies for exercising maximum restraint to protect the life and property of the people.
Shehbaz Sharif said the coalition government doesn’t believe in political victimization and taking political revenge. He stressed the need to stand united on a national agenda while giving up political revenge. The Prime minister said that Imran Niazi was arrested in a case of corruption and corrupt practices in Al Qadir Trust case. He said there are concrete evidences of corruption in Al Qadir Trust case, on which National Accountability Bureau is investigating.
He said Islamabad High court also termed the arrest of Imran Niazi according to the law which is an evident proof that the arrest of PTI Chairman by NAB was lawful. He said in the prevailing circumstances it is the responsibility of political leadership to control their workers.
He said Imran Niazi and PTI inflicted heavy loss to the official and private buildings, roads, properties and other infrastructure committed unpardonable crime. He said Imran Khan incited armed gangs of PTI against the armed forces and disgraced the monuments of martyrs and Ghazis. He said the history of our country is full of bitterness however we have to learn the lesson from our past.
