Pakistan and Iran Military Leaders Vow to Enhance Border Security and Regional Stability

Rawalpindi, General Syed Asim Munir NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, met with President Ebrahim Raisi of the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss strengthening bilateral military cooperation and enhancing regional peace.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the meeting focused on regional peace, stability, and border security. Both leaders agreed on the importance of bolstering bilateral cooperation to achieve economic prosperity and ensure regional stability.

The COAS described the Pak-Iran border as “the border of peace and friendship,” underlining the necessity of enhanced coordination to prevent terrorist activities that threaten the brotherly relations between the two nations. President Raisi highlighted the potential benefits of increased cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Iran, aiming for peace and stability for both countries and the broader region.
