Pakistan and Kazakhstan Aim to Deepen Ties Through Enhanced Parliamentary Cooperation

Islamabad, The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Kazakhstan through enhanced parliamentary cooperation, increased people-to-people contacts, and expanded economic ties.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting at the Parliament House with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, Speaker Sadiq expressed his appreciation for the strong bilateral relations that the two nations enjoy and outlined the areas in which they could develop closer ties.

The Speaker noted that both countries share similar perspectives on various regional and international matters, and stressed the significance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation to further solidify this relationship. He advocated for more active engagement through the Pak-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group and suggested high-level exchanges between the two parliaments to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.

Highlighting potential areas for economic collaboration, Speaker Sadiq encouraged increased interaction between the business communities of both countries, pointing out opportunities in sectors like oil exploration, energy, agriculture, and other vital economic sectors.

Ambassador Kistafin commended the Speaker on his re-election and reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to fortifying its ties with Pakistan, expressing a desire to boost cooperation across all sectors, including parliamentary linkages.

This meeting marks a continued effort to build on the strong foundations of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, aiming to bring tangible benefits to both nations through a concerted effort in various domains of mutual interest.
