Pakistan and Uzbekistan to Deepen Economic and Cultural Ties: Governor Baligh

Islamabad, Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman has highlighted the robust and friendly economic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, expressing optimism for their further enhancement in the future. This statement was made during a meeting with the Uzbek Ambassador to Pakistan, Oybek Arif Usmanov, in Lahore, where both parties discussed strengthening mutual cooperation across various sectors including tourism, education, and trade.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman emphasized the potential for collaboration between the media industries of both countries on joint projects to promote their shared cultural heritage. He also mentioned that special facilities are being offered to foreign investors in Pakistan through the Special Investment Facilitation Council, underscoring the importance of increasing student exchange programs to bolster bilateral relations.

Ambassador Usmanov expressed Uzbekistan’s eagerness to enhance its bilateral ties with Pakistan in trade, culture, and other areas, reflecting a mutual desire to deepen the connection between the two countries. This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to explore new avenues of cooperation and build on their already strong economic and cultural partnership.
