Islamabad: In discussions today with a high-level Chinese delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif outlined the benefits of increasing joint ventures between Pakistan and China, emphasizing sectors such as mines and minerals, information technology, and industrial development, which he believes will significantly strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Sharif detailed how enhanced cooperation with China could improve Pakistan’s positions in investments, industry, Special Economic Zones, and particularly in agriculture, aiming to boost the competitiveness and quality of agricultural exports to China.
The Prime Minister also highlighted recent policy measures favoring Chinese investors and nationals, including a visa fee exemption for Chinese citizens starting from the 14th of this month. Additionally, he addressed security concerns, reaffirming his commitment to providing foolproof security for Chinese nationals in Pakistan, especially in light of recent incidents.
This meeting underscores a continuing commitment to deepening strategic and economic ties between Pakistan and China, reflecting broader goals of mutual benefits and strengthened bilateral relations.
