Pakistan Denounces Israeli Strike on Refugee Camp in Rafah

Islamabad, Pakistan has condemned an Israeli military attack on a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) refugee camp in Rafah, Gaza Strip, which resulted in numerous casualties. The Pakistani government has called for immediate international action to protect civilians and hold responsible parties accountable.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s stance demanding the immediate and unconditional enforcement of recent rulings by the International Court of Justice concerning the protection of civilians in Gaza. Baloch labeled the attack on the refugee camp as a violation of international humanitarian law by Israeli forces and called for their accountability in what she referred to as the “Gaza genocide.”

The Foreign Office also urged the United Nations Security Council to intervene and prevent any further Israeli attacks on civilians in Rafah, emphasizing the need for a robust international response to ensure the safety and security of the affected populations.
