Pakistan Embassy in Bishkek Marks 77th Independence Day with Vibrant Celebrations

Bishkek: The Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek hosted a flag hoisting ceremony to celebrate the 77th Independence Day, attended by a cross-section of the Pakistani community in Kyrgyzstan, including students, educators, business leaders, and media representatives. The event featured a series of patriotic displays, including special prayers and cultural performances, emphasizing the deep ties between the Pakistani and Kyrgyz communities.

According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Hasan Zaigham delivered remarks highlighting the efforts of the Pakistani government to support its community in Kyrgyzstan and enhance bilateral relations, particularly in medical education and trade. He acknowledged the Kyrgyz government’s role in offering internships to Pakistani medical graduates and noted a 70 percent increase in bilateral trade between 2022 and 2023. The ambassador also expressed optimism about future trade prospects following a Kyrgyz delegation’s participation in the Karachi Agro-Food Expo.
