Pakistan Housing Foundation Board of Directors Meet To Analyze Projects In Progress

Lahore: Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat valued the much cherished efforts of Managing Director, Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) RB Phulpoto for transformation of the long awaited issue of the authority into a public sector company with the name of Pakistan Housing Foundation (PHF) in a Board meeting chaired here on Wednesday.

The Minister showed his satisfaction over the ongoing projects of the PHF and also shared his vision to make this entity most modern, dynamic and vibrant public sector company. He said that housing is an indispensable and primary human need.

At the moment we are facing housing crisis due to speedy population growth, shortage of supply and aging housing stock. Housing Projects of the PHF are designed and implemented through the renowned Engineering Consultants and Construction Companies of Pakistan, he told.

Pakistan Housing Authority, a subsidiary of Ministry of Housing and Works, was established to undertake construction of high quality apartments, housing units for the officers of Federally Constituted Occupational Groups, low paid Government employees and deprived segment of society at affordable cost.

The authority has successfully completed its projects in all the provincial capitals and Islamabad and many of its projects are in progress. The minister asked the authorities to complete all the projects without delay to cater the housing needs of the people.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Ministry of Housing and Works Mr. Kamran Lashari, Managing Director PHF, Mr. RB Phulpoto and other members of the Board of Directors.
