Islamabad: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan met with PPP leader Senator Babar Awan and agreed to establish a working relationship between PPP and MQM.
Speaking to media with PPP leader Babar Awan after the meeting, the Governor said that political and administrative steps would be taken for harmony and stability in Karachi and the rest of the country.
Dr Ebad said the country was suffering due to political turbulence and steps would be taken to protect the country and its institutions. He added that other elements were taking advantage of political differences and these were being exploited to destabilize Karachi.
Babar Awan said that President Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain were working to strengthen democratic institutions and dialogue would be initiated to stop the blame game. He added that under the guidance of the party’s leaders all issues would be tackled with sincerity and discussions would be held to move forward.
