Pakistan Pledges Top-Level Security for Chinese Projects, Initiates ML-1 Bidding

Islamabad, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has stated that the government is prioritizing the safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and programs in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a review meeting on CPEC Phase 2 and the 13th Joint Cooperation Committee in Islamabad, Iqbal emphasized a comprehensive security strategy to protect Chinese citizens. The Minister also highlighted the importance of starting the bidding process for the ML-1 project promptly and establishing a timeline for its initiation. On the Mineral Corridor, he called for accelerated finalization of the agreement and organized sub-working group meetings to discuss further details with Chinese officials.
