Pakistan Seeks Enhanced Bilateral Relations with Russia, Announces Energy Minister

Islamabad: Pakistan is aiming to strengthen its bilateral relations with Russia, focusing on cultural ties, sports, and human resource development, as stated by Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Leghari, in an interview with Russian media, revealed plans for a trial freight train that will operate between Pakistan and Russia starting in March. He also mentioned ongoing considerations for establishing direct air services between the two countries to boost connectivity and promote business opportunities.

The Minister highlighted that Pakistan stands to gain from improved regional cooperation with member countries within the BRICS framework.
