Pakistan Seeks to Strengthen Economic Ties with Japan

Islamabad, During a meeting between Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Wada Mitsuhiro, and Federal Minister for Industry and Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, both parties discussed enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the auto industry and food security sectors.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Hussain expressed a strong desire to deepen ties with Japan, acknowledging the potential for significant Japanese investment in Pakistan’s burgeoning auto industry. He assured Ambassador Mitsuhiro of the government’s commitment to providing necessary facilities to investors, emphasizing that industrial development and agriculture remain top priorities for Pakistan.

The discussion also covered the critical importance of food security and potential collaborative efforts to address this challenge, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening economic and strategic cooperation between the two nations.
