Islamabad, A new agreement signed among the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation, Allied Australia, and Tech Valley marks a significant step for Pakistan in the IT sector, as it initiates local manufacturing of chromebooks. The collaboration, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, aims to provide 500,000 chromebooks to Pakistani students and create substantial employment opportunities.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, CEO of Allied Australia, Aron Saether Jackson, expressed enthusiasm about the investment in Pakistan during the signing ceremony. He highlighted that the production of these devices locally, supported by NRTC’s advanced facilities, is not only expected to aid educational pursuits but also generate numerous job prospects. Saether Jackson’s commitment indicates a positive outlook for both Pakistan’s IT industry and its broader economic landscape.
