Islamabad, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has committed to presenting bankable and investable projects to Saudi investors, aiming to showcase Pakistan’s potential for investment and the government’s supportive policies. This pledge was made during a meeting with Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, held in Washington.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting centered on potential areas for boosting economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Minister Aurangzeb discussed his recent engagements in Saudi Arabia and reciprocated visits by high-level Saudi delegations to Pakistan, which have underscored the growing interest in strengthening bilateral economic cooperation. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the progress of ongoing development projects funded by Saudi investments.
Key discussions also included the financing of major infrastructure undertakings such as the Diamer Bhasha Dam and the N-25 Highway project, which stretches from Karachi to Chaman. These projects are among the highlights of Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign investment in large-scale development initiatives.
