Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan has emphasized the need to boost road and railway connectivity with Turkiye, proposing this as a strategy to strengthen economic ties and foster closer cultural relations between the two nations. This discussion took place during a meeting with General Metin Gurak, the Turkish Chief of General Staff, who was visiting with a delegation.

According to Press Information Department, the conversation highlighted the cost-effectiveness and benefits of enhancing overland transport facilities, which President Zardari believes will facilitate increased bilateral interactions and economic engagements.
