Pakistani and Saudi Officials Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Expanding Cooperation

Islamabad, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki met with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Islamabad to discuss strengthening the longstanding relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the current state of Pak-Saudi relations and expressed their determination to further expand bilateral ties.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Speaker Sadiq emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with Saudi Arabia. He noted that the people of Pakistan share a special bond with Saudi Arabia and hold the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in high regard.

During the meeting, the speaker highlighted the common views shared by both countries on key global and regional issues. He also stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering deeper bilateral relations, suggesting that the exchange of parliamentary delegations and coordination among the Parliamentary Friendship Groups would help bring the two nations closer.

Sadiq appreciated Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in supporting the economic development of Pakistan, noting that Saudi investment is welcomed and that Pakistan offers considerable opportunities for investment. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for extending facilities to the Pakistani diaspora living in the Kingdom.

The speaker extended an invitation to the Chairman of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, to visit Pakistan.

The Saudi Ambassador reciprocated the speaker’s sentiments, thanking Sadiq for his strong commitment to the Kingdom and expressing Saudi Arabia’s dedication to expanding bilateral relations. He assured that Saudi Arabia will continue to support Pakistan’s sustainable development and prosperity.

Both sides showed a strong commitment to further enhancing their brotherly relations and fostering opportunities for cooperation across various sectors, reinforcing the historical ties between the two nations.
