Pakistan’s Deputy PM Dar Attends SCO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Kazakhstan

Astana, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar represents Pakistan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting today. This gathering sets the stage for comprehensive discussions on various international and regional issues, including security and development of cooperative relationships among SCO member states.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting in Astana is attended by foreign ministers from the SCO member states, along with the SCO Secretary-General and the Director of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure Executive Committee. The agenda primarily focuses on preparations for the upcoming SCO Heads of States Council meeting scheduled for July. Additionally, the ministers will discuss political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the SCO.
