Pakistan’s Prime Minister Extends Condolences to UAE President on Family Loss

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan engaged in a heartfelt telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, extending his condolences on the passing of the president’s uncle, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohamed Al Nahyan.

According to Press Information Department, during the call, Prime Minister Sharif expressed deep sympathy and prayers for the departed soul and the bereaved royal family. He also reiterated the high regard in which the people of Pakistan hold the UAE Royal Family, recalling the historical friendship initiated by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE. In response, the UAE President appreciated the Prime Minister’s gesture and both leaders affirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral ties between their nations. They also planned to schedule a meeting at a mutually convenient time in the near future.
