Pakistan’s UN Representative Calls for Global Cooperation on Wildlife Conservation

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has made a strong appeal for the global conservation of endangered wildlife species, particularly the Markhor, during an event in New York titled “Conserving the Markhor.”

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Munir Akram highlighted the ecological and economic importance of the Markhor, a species central to its ecosystem that also enhances opportunities for economic development through conservation and sustainable tourism. He stressed the significance of international collaboration in wildlife conservation and expressed Pakistan’s readiness to share its successful conservation strategies with the global community.
