Peshawar Officials Advocate for Rescue of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Citizens Held Hostage in Sindh

Peshawar, In a significant development, Malik Liaquat Ali Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Population Welfare, met with Akhtar Hayat Khan, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to address the urgent issue of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens being held hostage in the Kachcha area of Sindh. The meeting, which took place at the IGP office, highlighted the critical situation of the hostages who hail from the Dir district and are currently under the captivity of bandits.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Special Assistant Malik Liaquat Ali Khan expressed deep concern over the kidnapping and subsequent torture of these citizens, stressing the need for immediate action to secure their release. During the meeting, IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan promptly responded to the concerns raised by taking immediate steps to address the issue. He contacted the Inspector General of Police Sindh directly, discussing the matter and emphasizing the need for a priority resolution.
