Islamabad, May 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in avalanche on Shounter pass in Astore. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said the avalanche in Shounter Top Pass caused great grief and loss of precious lives.

He prayed to Allah Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families. Shehbaz Sharif said due to the effects of climate change, such incidents are increasing in Pakistan. He said the whole world has to fulfill its responsibilities to protect developing countries like Pakistan from these harmful effects.
