PM’s China Visit Promises Economic Boost

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China has been declared a resounding success by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, promising significant economic benefits for Pakistan. The visit, which included discussions on major projects like the ML-1 railway and Karachi Circular Railway, is expected to accelerate several bilateral agreements and initiatives in the coming weeks.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a news conference, Minister Attaullah Tarar expressed confidence in the progress of collaborations such as IT training for Pakistani youth by a Chinese tech company and the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He emphasized the strengthened relationship between Pakistan and China, describing it as an “everlasting and all-weather friendship.”

Additionally, Tarar highlighted the government’s focus on the security of Chinese nationals and noted positive trends in Pakistan’s economy, such as reducing inflation and a stabilizing current account deficit. The country’s recent election to a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council was also mentioned as an indicator of international trust.
