Police arrest two impersonators

Islamabad, May 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Secretariat Police have arrested two members of a gang who have been looting gullible people by impersonating as officials of sensitive institutions of the country. The swindlers have been looting people by putting a fake green number plate and revolving light on their vehicle, posing them as officials of security agencies.

The accused were identified as Shahid Munawar son of Munawar Khan and Mohsin Khan son of Mohammad Ajmal. The police have seized four fake number plates, four p-caps, and registration book from them. During initial investigation, the accused have confessed committing crime in different areas of Islamabad by impersonating them as employees of sensitive institutions.

According to the details, following special instructions from SP (City) Mustansar Feroze, the Secretariat Police stopped a suspicious car bearing a green registration number LEB-6071 at Rawal Dam chowk. The two people riding the car introduced them as officials of security agencies but could not prove their identity, the police said.

The police searched the car and seized two number plates with registration numbers LE-12/4761, one revolving light, four p-caps, and a registration book. The Secretariat Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigations. SSP Islamabad Mohammad Ali Nekokara has appreciated performance of the Secretariat Police.
