Prime Minister Approves Financial Assistance for Missing Persons Families

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, in compliance with the directions of the honourable Supreme Court, has approved the provision of financial assistance to families of missing persons by the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

A Committee comprising representatives of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and Ministry of Interior and the Additional Attorney General for Pakistan was constituted to examine the matter and make recommendations.

The Committee recommended the provision of financial assistance ranging between Rs.60,000/- to Rs.1,56,000/- per annum to six families of missing persons.
