Prime Minister Attends Funeral of Shaheed Captain Faraz Ilyas

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the funeral and burial of Captain Faraz Ilyas near Chunian, who was recently martyred in a terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat along with six other soldiers. The ceremony included full military honors and was attended by Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, high-ranking military officials, and a significant number of locals.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif laid a floral wreath on Captain Ilyas’s grave and offered prayers. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and emphasized that such sacrifices would never be in vain. In a gesture of honor, the Prime Minister announced the renaming of the village after Captain Ilyas and plans to develop it into a model village, reflecting the nation’s respect and recognition for his service.
