Prime Minister Sharif Extends Greetings on Vesak Day, Calls for Global Harmony

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today extended greetings to Buddhists around the world on the occasion of Vesak, a significant festival commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautam Buddha.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed his sentiments via a message on his X handle, where he urged the celebration of shared heritage and the promotion of mutual respect and understanding among different communities. He emphasized the importance of Vesak Day, known also as Vesakha, Buddha Purnima, or Buddha Day, as a time for fostering peace, prosperity, and harmony across the globe.

The Prime Minister’s message reflects Pakistan’s commitment to religious inclusivity and international goodwill.
