Prime Minister Sharif Strengthens Ties with Kuwait at World Economic Forum in Riyadh

Riyadh, In a significant bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum’s Special Meeting, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged with the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to reinforce and expand economic partnerships between Pakistan and Kuwait.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude towards the Amir for his congratulatory message on Sharif’s re-election and reciprocated by congratulating Sheikh Meshal on his ascension as Amir. The discussions focused on transforming bilateral relations into a robust economic partnership, beneficial for the people of both nations. The leaders reviewed progress on the implementation of multiple Memorandums of Understanding and agreements signed in November 2023, aimed at deepening trade and investment ties.

The meeting also addressed regional issues, including the crisis in Gaza. Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Amir of Kuwait to visit Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic and economic engagement.
