Islamabad, A new report is casting a harsh light on the increasing anti-Muslim violence in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration, attributed to a surge in Hindutva ideology. This trend points to a deepening persecution and systematic oppression of Muslims across the country.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the report outlines numerous incidents where Muslims in India have been targeted, humiliated, and even killed under various pretexts. The documentation highlights actions in several Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states where authorities are reportedly demolishing Muslim homes and properties, effectively punishing them for their faith and cultural identity. The report accuses Modi’s government of treating Muslims as second-class citizens, pushing them to the margins of society through policies and actions fueled by Hindu extremism.
The analysis further criticizes the Modi regime for adopting policies that reflect Hindutva dictates, creating a climate of fear among Muslims and other minorities. Notable is the accusation that since Modi’s re-election in 2019, his government has introduced policies that critics argue disenfranchise Muslims, including controversial measures related to beef consumption and cattle transportation.
The report calls on the international community to intervene and help protect Muslims and other minorities from what it describes as “Hindu fascism,” underscoring a significant departure from India’s traditionally secular stance, and branding it as an extremist Hindu state under Modi’s leadership.
