Islamabad: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, have reached an agreement to expedite the climate agenda through enhanced collaboration between provinces and the federal government.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting held in Islamabad, the discussions focused on Pakistan’s evolving climate priorities. Both sides emphasized the importance of launching initiatives that are supported by international climate financing mechanisms. The meeting underscored the necessity for synchronized efforts to tackle the pressing issue of climate change within the country.
Romina Alam reaffirmed the federal government’s dedication to providing the provinces with essential technical and institutional support.
