Islamabad, July 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): Secretary Ministry of Communications/Chairman NHA called on Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, at the Parliament House on Tuesday. The primary focus of the meeting was to brief Chairman Senate about the progress made on the construction of a 77-kilometer road from Dalbandin to Ziarat Balanosh, District Chagai, Balochistan. During the meeting, the Federal Secretary provided an update on the project, highlighting that the tendering process is set to commence in the coming days. He further disclosed that the work on this vital infrastructure project is scheduled to begin in August, with Chairman Senate taking part in the ground-breaking ceremony.
Chairman Senate expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the National Highway Authority (NHA) in fulfilling the longstanding demand of the local people for improved road connectivity in the Chagai district. He acknowledged that the construction of this road will not only meet the immediate needs of the residents but will also contribute significantly to better connectivity, and fostering socio-economic growth. This will also enhance accessibility and facilitate transportation in Balochistan, ultimately improving the lives of the people in the area.
