Security Forces Neutralize Eight Khwarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

Islamabad: Eight members of the Khwarij group were killed by security forces in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials reported on Thursday.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the first operation, based on intelligence, was carried out in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan. Security forces engaged the Khwarij location, resulting in the deaths of two members of the group, including their ringleader, Khan Muhammad, also known as Khoryay. Two additional members were apprehended during the operation. Khan Muhammad had been involved in various terrorist activities in the region, such as target killings and extortion, and was a high-priority target for law enforcement agencies, with a bounty of one million rupees on his head.

A second intelligence-based operation took place in Lakki Marwat, where six more Khwarij members were neutralized after an exchange of gunfire with security forces. Continuous sanitization operations are underway to eliminate any remaining threats, as Pakistani security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.
