Sibi Authorities Clamp Down on Food Safety Violations in Local Bazaar

Sibi: Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Jahanzeb Sheikh, Assistant Commissioner Mansoor Ali Shah conducted a rigorous inspection of Sibi Bazaar, focusing on compliance with food safety regulations and pricing guidelines. The operation led to the confiscation and disposal of expired food products and reinforced adherence to health standards among local vendors.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Government of Balochistan, during his surveillance, Assistant Commissioner Shah uncovered several instances of shops selling over-expired food items such as milk and bread, which were immediately destroyed. He issued stern warnings to the offenders about future consequences, including fines and potential strict legal action for continued violations.

Additionally, Shah instructed all food vendors, including those selling meat and poultry, to adhere strictly to the official price list, cover food items properly, and maintain hygienic practices to prevent similar infringements. The efforts are part of a broader initiative to ensure public health and fairness in market operations within the district.
